Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations dinner at Swiss Garden Hotel Kuala Lumpur on 30/9/2012(15th day of the eighth month in the Chinese calendar)

The Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the most important holidays in the Chinese calendar, the others being Spring Festival and Winter Solstice. Accompanying the celebration, there are additional cultural or regional customs, such as:

- Eating mooncakes, traditionally consisting primarily of lotus bean paste.

- Drinking tea.

- Matchmaking. In some parts of China, dances are held for young men and women to find partners. "One by one, young women are encouraged to throw their handkerchiefs to the crowd. The young man who catches and returns the handkerchief has a chance of romance."

- Carrying brightly lit lanterns, lighting lanterns on towers, floating sky lanterns.

- Solving riddles, or miyu in Mandarin Chinese, usually written on slips of paper and pasted on the lanterns.

中秋节是中国历法中最重要的节日之一，春节和冬至的人。陪同的庆祝活动，有更多的文化或地区的风俗习惯，如：
•吃月饼，传统上主要由莲花豆沙。
•喝茶。
•对接会。在中国的一些地方，舞蹈的年轻男性和女性寻找合作伙伴举行。 “一个接一个，年轻女性被鼓励的人群，把他们的手帕。年轻的男子谁捕捉并返回手帕，有一个浪漫的机会。”
•携带明亮的灯笼，照亮灯笼塔，浮动孔明灯。
•猜谜，或美优在中国普通话，通常写在纸条上，贴在灯笼上。
