What happens if I'm in a 12 month fixed lease and payed rent for 2 months.Right after my lease was signed and the next day did walk thru the house was infested with roaches roach feces infested with spiders there is a water stain on ceiling all the mirrored closet doors have cracked mirror the air ducts have dirt rust mold in then the electrical outlets are not secured to the wall and hardly even on.The landlord left a bunch of junkie clutter in the basement room etc and when it was brought up to him he denies anything is wrong with the house when in fact I have pictures Video and emails to prove everything I'm saying is true.The landlord not once is nice about anything and says make a list I'll take care of it but instead retaliates against us saying in emails that since we won't move in to the house he is going to hold of to the whole lease and that we will be help liable for full term of the rent.He called our references and harassed them demanding to know if they lied to him about us being the good people responsible people.The landlord asked them if they thought we was on drugs and when they said they knew for a fact we wasn't the landlord tried to convince them that we was and implied that we was on drugs because we refused to move into a home that was not safe not fit for our family.He sent us really mean hateful emails saying we was on drugs and that we was not good people that we was never going to amount to anything and that he wanted a hair folical drug test and if we could pass it then he would give us every dime of our money back.

He also issued a 30 day notice to terminate tendency on a 12 month fixed lease on March 24 2015 saying that we had 30 days to vacate and return the key and if we didn't then we would face legal proceedings that he was terminating us for beach of a lease agreement how did we breach it when we didn't send him 30 day notice but he send us the 30 day notice he then issued us a few days ago a 5 day notice to pay rent for May 1st then a day later we get trespassing passing papers served on us for his home address then Saturday a summons to go to court for I payed rent.Why am I suppose to pay him rent when he gave me a 30 day notice and he got his key back and I never breach the lease or didn't pay rent I only did what he asked me to do and went by the 30 day notice.He also while I had the key before the 30 day notice had entered the property several times without notice and I have emails to prove all of this after him doing that and thinking he is above the law I had anxiety about wanting to move into the house as I have anxiety he would walk up in the house anytime and do God knows what.This landlord has caused us so much stress anxiety it's not funny he has done so many things to pay us back for not moving into a house in unsafe insanity conditions but the point is our rent was payed the whole time 2 months in advance on top of a $1700 security deposit.I am so stressed about now having to go to court over him sending me a 30 day notice and a email stating he was giving me 30 days to move ( even tho I never moved in) and return the key ( and I did return it) and we will be done and he will move on with his life and I with mine and then I get a 5 day notice for not paying rent for the following month the 30 day notice was issued I only did what the landlord ask of me in the notice and now I'm being sued for not paying rent how does that work.He did say he was going to get me and hold me to the whole lease term he is out for blood he is doing all this for spite and I'm at a lost I don't know if I'm right or wrong if I still was suppose to pay rent or not he has me so crazy and confused now.
