Chinese New Year cake年糕

 

年糕東亞過年的一種傳統食品,中文裡年糕與“年高”諧音,有年年高的意思,象徵收入、職位或小孩子都一年比一年高。年糕早期是在年夜用來祭神及供奉祖先,其後漸漸成為一種春節食品。過年吃年糕的習俗,據傳從周代開始,已有3000 多年的歷史。由於禾穀成熟一次稱為一年,所以後世過年吃年糕,就含有祝賀五穀豐登的意思了。吃年糕還有取“年高”長壽之意。
 

福州年糕, 而南方的年糕则有所不同,福州年糕叫做糖粿(福州方言的谐音),是将糯米粉和米粉加糖(白糖红糖均有,还可以根据个人口味加入花生、红枣、红豆等。)和成面团,再放在年糕叶上蒸熟。其味道香甜可口,余味无穷。广东年糕一般以糯 米粉、粘粉、生油、瓜子仁、竹叶等为原料制成。其色泽金红、软滑甜香,味美可口.
