The Gabai Falls are located in Hulu Langat
at the outskirts of Kuala Lumpur. It is a popular attraction for the
locals, but relatively unknown with tourists. A cemented path leads from the
parking to the lower falls. Along the path several shelters have been built.
The upper falls can be reached by trails.The falls are located in a natural Dipterocarp
forest reserve. Notable species include the leech Phytobdella
catenifera
The Gabai Falls will
take around 40 minutes’ drive depend on traffic flow from Kuala Lumpur city
centre to the location. the waterfall always pack with peoples during the
weekend. When we reached the place, it was hard to find a parking and you have
to pay RM1 per person. You can park your car by the road side as long as you
don’t block the traffic flows. Sungai Gabai waterfall is a cascades and
vertical waterfall. The car park is near to the waterfall. As it was weekend,
it was jam packed with people.
