Desa Ria Strata Title Issue on Sin Chew Jit Poh Press dated 22/09/2012 (Sunday). Developer refused to relief Desa Ria's Strata Title if the owner don't pay the outstanding maintenance fee.
Some Owner feedback, the developer never do their work like cleaning works, building maintenance, rubbish collection and etc.... Not fair for owner to pay for the work not done. And the Developer suddenly issued a bill for Feb 2002 to Jul 2012 of maintenance fee?
Another owner seldom come to Desa Ria because his shop rented out to tenant and do not understand the strata title issue. First time received a bill was 4 years ago, paid $5,400 to avoid 10% late payment penalty.3 years ago paid $2000 plus and 2 years ago paid $1200. Paid $1700 to lawyer for the strata title.
Another owner said, since 2001 the developer never collect any maintenance fee but suddenly 2-3years ago ask for $5000 maintenance fee and etc...
