Chinese New Year Eve Gathering 农历新年除夕夜聚会
Every year of Chinese New Year Eve night we will be gathered at Tan SY house at Kampung Koh, Sitiawan Perak. The Chinese Lunar New Year Eve 2013 falls on 9th Februaty 2013 (Saturday).
Most Chinese spend the eve in sumptuous banquets, colorful fireworks and chats with family members while watching TV galas. As the most important occasion for family reunions, the Chinese New Year Eve Festival is usually preceded by a period of national travel rush, as hundreds of millions of Chinese workers board trains, planes and long-distance buses to return to their hometowns. In a village in Sitiawan Perak Province, local communities held banquets to mark the start of the new year and welcome the returning young who have worked in other parts of the country.
