Mid-Autumn
Festival celebrations dinner at Swiss Garden Hotel Kuala Lumpur on 30/9/2012(15th
day of the eighth month in the Chinese
calendar)
The Mid-Autumn
Festival is one of the most important holidays in the Chinese calendar, the
others being Spring Festival and
Winter Solstice.
Accompanying the celebration, there are additional cultural or regional
customs, such as:
- Eating mooncakes, traditionally consisting
primarily of lotus bean paste.
- Matchmaking. In some parts of China, dances
are held for young men and women to find partners. "One by one, young
women are encouraged to throw their handkerchiefs to the crowd. The young
man who catches and returns the handkerchief has a chance of romance."

The Hash House Harriers
(abbreviated to HHH, H3, or referred to simply as Hashing)
is an international group of non-competitive running, social clubs. An event
organized by a club is known as a Hash or Hash Run, with
participants calling themselves Hashers or Hares and Hounds
Hashing began in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in 1938, a casual group
who would meet after work on Monday evenings to run, following a paper trail,
through the environs of Kuala Lumpur to get rid of the excesses of the previous
weekend.
By the year 2007 there are about 2000 chapters (clubs) in major
cities and towns. In the beginning Hashing members were strictly Male and only
later did they include Females and today there are all male chapters, mixed
chapters and even children (to promote as a family outing). The history of
Hashing in Kajang begin in the year 1988 and had its first run in Bukit Angkat
Kajang. This chapter is known as Kajang Hash House Harriers (KH3, mix chapter)
Kajang
Hash House Harriers(KH3)is a mixed chapter.Scheduled to run on every Saturday
at 6.00 pm sharp without fail. Hash attendance varies from 70-120 members. We
are a friendly, social, beer motivated hashing chapter. Our only interest is to
have much fun as possible that can be squeezed into a Saturday afternoon. Runs
are usually about an hour long or between 8-10km.
Generally, Hash events are open
to the public and require no reservation or membership, but some may require a
small fee, referred to as "hashcash", to cover the costs incurred,
such as food , drink and etc after the hash.
The end of a trail is an
opportunity to socialise, have a drink and observe any traditions of the
individual chapter. When the Hash officially ends, many members may continue
socialising an event held at a nearby house, pub, or restaurant.
The objectives
of the Hash House Harriers as recorded on the club registration card dated
1950:
To promote
physical fitness among our members
To get rid
of weekend hangovers
To acquire
a good thirst and to satisfy it in beer, drink and foods
To
persuade the older members that they are not as old as they feel

and brinjals and usually served with either rice
or bread. The item is cooked as such the rich is not totally
boiled, giving the dish a grany texture. In this type a day old fried heads of
any fish is used and it is cooked in pulses.
Tamarind (asam) juice is frequently added to the gravy
to give it a sweet-sour taste (see asam fish); this variety of fish head curry normally has a
thinner, orange gravy. Additionally, a relative amount of coconut milk is often
used in the curry. It is a dish of relative popularity amongst Malaysians and
Singaporeans and their tourists, although it is generally not categorised as
